Overview

Sourcing Tracker is a Chrome extension designed to help Amazon sourcing teams track which Amazon listings have already been reviewed or reverse sourced by team members.

This privacy policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Information We Collect

The extension may collect and store the following information:

1. Account Information

When using the extension, users provide information during account creation. This may include:

  • Team Leads: Name, email address, and password (stored securely)

  • VA Team Members: Name only — VA accounts are activated via an access code provided by their team lead

This information is used only for authentication and to associate activity with specific team members.

2. Amazon Product Page Activity

When a user visits an Amazon product page and marks it as sourced, the following data may be recorded:

  • The ASIN

  • The Marketplace (e.g., Amazon.com, Amazon.ca)

  • Name of the team member who marked the listing as sourced

  • Date and time the listing was marked as sourced

This information is stored on behalf of the team lead and allows team members to communicate sourcing activity and avoid duplicate work.

3. Technical Data

Limited technical data may be stored to operate the extension, including:

  • Extension settings

  • User configuration information

No unrelated browsing activity is collected.

How the Information Is Used

Collected data is used only to:

  • Track sourcing activity within a team

  • Display which Amazon listings have already been reviewed

  • Identify which team member performed the action

  • Maintain account access for authorized users

  • Data is only accessible to members of the same team

The extension does not use this data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Storage

All collected data is stored on servers hosted by:

Supabase

Data is stored in a database controlled by the extension administrator and is used solely for the operation of the Sourcing Tracker service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.

Data may be visible to other members of the same sourcing team when they use the extension, as part of the collaborative tracking functionality.

Data Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect stored data, including server security and access controls.

However, no system can guarantee complete security.


User Control

VA team members should contact their team administrator if they wish to:

  • Modify their account information

  • Request deletion of stored activity data

  • Stop using the extension

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect improvements or changes to the extension. Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the extension following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
